Sales representative proposing our company's products.

My main role is sales, selling our company's national brand (NB) products to drugstores, supermarkets, and other retailers. Specifically, I work with wholesalers to propose products to buyers at client companies and suggest sales methods to maximize revenue. Creating sales materials, taking into account past performance data and customer demographics, is also an important part of the job to ensure I can make effective proposals. I also visit stores in person to conduct sales negotiations and promotional activities.

What I find most rewarding is,
When did that happen?

The products I proposed are now on display in stores.
When it actually sells.

The most rewarding moment for me is when I unearth a less popular product from our company, propose it to a client, and it gets adopted, displayed in stores, and actually sells. Sharing the joy of product sales with our clients is also a great part of sales. Sharing successful examples of revitalizing overlooked products within the company and seeing how it contributes to overall sales is another source of satisfaction. While sales can be challenging, the results are directly linked to numbers and clearly visible, which I think suits my personality very well.

Develop new sales channels,
I want to reach more people.

My primary goal is to consistently achieve strong daily sales figures and contribute to the revenue of my client companies and my own company. In the future, I would like to challenge myself to develop new sales channels beyond drugstores and supermarkets. I also want to work to make the appeal of Ito Kanpo Pharmaceutical's products known to a wider audience.

Daily schedule

    I jump out of bed the moment my loud alarm goes off. I prefer bread for breakfast.
  2. Going to work
    I will check the day's schedule and emails.
  3. Morning assembly
    We hold a morning meeting within the group. We share information such as sales figures and other important announcements.
  4. Back office
    I prepare for business negotiations, meet with wholesalers, and ask the sales administration staff to secure and check inventory.
  5. Lunch
    I had lunch with a senior colleague from the sales department. It's a valuable time for casual communication.

    Regularly visit client stores to perform maintenance and promotional activities.
  8. Return to work
    This role involves following up after business negotiations and handling miscellaneous tasks.

    I'll go to the supermarket to buy ingredients for dinner and then head home.

  11. Relaxation time
    I enjoy watching lighthearted dramas and other shows that don't require much thought, using a subscription service, together with my beloved cat.

I joined the company after working there as a temporary employee, and I've found it to be a very welcoming company where it's easy to take paid leave. I was originally in the planning and development department, but my request to transfer to sales was granted, and that's how I got to where I am today. It's a very open and communicative company, so I hope that future employees will not be bound by preconceived notions and will actively challenge themselves in various ways.

This is a product I was in charge of developing, and I'm really proud of it because I focused on making it delicious and something the whole family will love. Since it's a concentrated type, the possibilities forアレンジ (arrangements/variations) are endless, but personally, I recommend drinking it mixed with sparkling water after a bath. My friends love it too, but they often say that it's hard to find in stores, so I'll do my best to sell it! (laughs)
